- Solid Steel Construction
- Attaches to most I-Beams.
- Easy to mount.
- Adjustable from 3.5" to 5.5"
Less expensive than most of the other I-Beam heavy bag hangers. Does exactly what I required.
I did read some reviews about it sliding down the beam when hit in that direction. I solved this by using sticky backed felt feet (for furniture on wood floor) and stuck them into the lip where it contacts the I-beam (see pic). After tightening the bolt down the felt was squeezed and holds tight now with no slippage.
I use it to hang bags (heavy bag and speed bag) on my I-Beam and it works really good. When adjusted right it gives you a secure fit.
Overall, I am pleased with this product; however, I did have to deduct a star, as I had the same issue as others have mentioned. Securing the hangar to my I-beam was pretty simple; however, a successive hit to any one side makes it slide along the I-beam. I was able to resolve this issue by placing a section of non-slip matting between the hangar and the I-beam, but it seems like the manufacturer should be aware of this issue and have made an attempt to address such, particularly since some of the solutions discussed are so cheap.
Works great on the rafter in my basement. I've used it for several things (TRX, Yoga Swing) and it stands up to the test. Excellent!
This did what it was supposed to do. I read some earlier reviews so I added some hard rubber between the beam and the hanger and I have had no problems, whatsoever. I don't kick my bag, so I can't speak about that, but I hit it hard (IMHO) and I've had no movement.
Been looking for years for a way to hang my 80 lb bag. I've destroyed at least 5 "Rube Goldberg" mounts over the years (bungee cords, mounted to basement studs, etc). This bracket is strong and quickly and SECURELY fastened to my I-beam in the basement. The I-beam is a regular width - around 4-5". I mounted a heavy duty spring bag from it to my bag. Now everything works beautifully and I can punch and kick the bag repeatedly with my most powerful blows with no fear that the mount will fall or be destroyed.
